Area
The historic Marais in the heart of Paris is one of the most popular choices for Paris vacations. Its narrow cobbled streets are rich with a contrasting trendy and traditional population, while the wonderful patina of the 16th and 17th-century buildings is sharply enhanced by the designs and colors of as many boutiques. Many A la Carte apartments for rent here have period ceiling beams adding to the charm. The Marais stretches from the provocatively multi-colored Pompidou Center to the Place des Vosges, one the city’s oldest and most romantic squares. The Marais abounds in funky bars and cafés, lively markets, irresistible delis and bakeries, high-quality restaurants, enchanting parks and gardens, and trendy art galleries all guaranteeing an unforgettable Paris experience!

Testimonials
Pamela Bullie, USA, July 2010
We were very impressed with the apartment. It was clean and well appointed. The location was great. It was centrally located and allowed us to walk to most sightseeing areas. Shopping around the apartment was diverse and more than adequate, as were the restaurants. The area is very safe to walk at any time of the day or night. The apartment/area made our first visit to Paris relaxing and very enjoyable.
Your staff person at A la carte Paris was on top of everything from the initial reservation to ensuring our transport to the airport on departure was worry free. We would highly recommend your services to our friends and family.

I had a most wonderful, relaxed week in Paris staying at the Marais Central apartment. It was really quiet, and in such a great spot. It was very convenient having the kitchen, and the cosy lounge to relax in at the end of the day! The books, dvd's and information left in the apartment was terrific - so helpful! The owner's suggestions guided me to a couple of very lovely meals.
Thanks so much.

Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay. We had such a superb time in Paris and your lovely apartment made it all the more enjoyable and relaxing.
The neighbourhood here was so much fun. We went to many of your recommended cafés and restaurants, and shopped at the market and the local food shops.
If we are lucky enough to return to Paris, you will be hearing from us again!

We have done a few overseas trips now staying in short-term accommodations and some have been better than others. We have stayed in apartments that have been described as 'luxury' but have found torn mattresses, dirty sofas etc. We wanted to let you know how much we have appreciated your apartment which was clean with quality furnishings and everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay.
I'm glad there was a hairdryer so I didn't have to carry mine! We were happy we had a dishwasher and washer dryer (if you're used to one at home the last thing you want to do on holiday is wash dishes)!!. The Ipod dock was a bonus seen as Dean had brough his with him. We watched most of your films as well as some we brought of our own so thankful for the dvd player. We were extrememly grateful for the free phonecalls overseas as we had quite alot of business to take care of whilst here. We used your Paris tourist book which was really handy. As for the information folder in the apartment, the most informative and useful one we have found yet! (The taxi number was helpful for our return journey to the airport). The internet was used daily with no problems as was the satellite tv, we enjoyed watching the Olympics in the evening in French and learned a few new words!
We hope that during our future overseas trips our accommodation will be as cozy and comfortable as your Marais apartment. Should we ever return to Paris we would be very happy to stay here again.

We enjoyed the cleanliness and layout of the aparment. It felt very modern in terms of it decoration and arrangement. It had everything we needed and more. The movie selection was great as we, on a nightly basis, would watch a film which was related to the location we attended that day (ex, we watched DaVinci Code after visiting the Louvre). The kitchen was well equiped and food preparation was both fun and easy. Overall, the apartment was everything we dreamt it would be. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable; it felt like home.
The location could not be beat. The first night we actually walked for Marais to the Eiffel Tower (it took a few hours but was well worth it). The Metro line at Temple and Republique made transportation very efficent. We were able to visit Versailles using the Metro and RER. Getting to the airport was extremely easy as well. The area surrounding the apartment was romantic, quaint, and exactly what one would hope to experience while in Paris. The street, with all its interesting cafes, shops, and convience stores made walking around the neighbourhood extremely enjoyable.
Our stay in Paris could not have been what it was had we not stayed at Marais Central. We do not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family interested in travelling to Paris and would without a doubt, stay there when we return to Paris.

We loved staying in your apartment in Paris. We had a great time and we took full advantage of the neighborhood markets. I might actually be our favorite place we've ever stayed in Paris. All the best!
Sam, San Francisco, California, 2009
The apartment was spacious, clean and modern. It was conveniently located to Metro and to a lot of great restaurants and the nightlife of the Marais. The apartment has wireless internet and free international calling to the US which made it easy to contact friends and family at home. It had a very home-like feeling and was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again! Thanks for everything!!

We really enjoyed staying in the apartment. Our Paris trip was amazing, and the apartment was one of the main reasons.
The layout of the apartment was wonderful, and the design was aesthetically pleasing. We enjoyed the stocked kitchen, loved the washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Bathroom was so clean and nice. The view from both the living room and bedroom were great. And we didn't need the air conditioning - the apartment stayed cool throughout the day and night. Overall, it was a beautiful, well-stocked apartment. The location was better than we could have expected. It was so central, the neighborhood was fabulous, and the restaurants nearby were great. We also appreciated the binder full of useful information. You were right - we could have spent our entire vacation in that neighborhood, there was so much to see and do, and so many places to eat and relax.
Thank you for sharing your apartment with us. It was truly a fabulous experience!
