A LA CARTE PARIS APARTMENTS

Designer Paris apartments

"Live independantly and do your own thing!"

When you come to Paris for a few days, you can either follow the tourists to the greatest monuments, museums, restaurants and places, or…follow your own way to Paris’s best-kept secrets and discover Paris like an insider.

When staying in a Paris rental property, you will live like any parisian and experience the “real Paris”. Our luxury Paris apartments are located in the most desirable arrondissements and our own tailored apartment guide booklets help you discover the hidden Paris…

Here are a few examples:

1 - The Passages of Paris: These arcades are very poetic, some are totally forgotten (passage Brady and its Indian shops and restaurants), others like the Gallerie Vivienne or gallerie Véro-Dodat, our favourite which has its name from 2 butchers, are enjoying a new life with nice shops and restaurants.

2 - Place du Marché Sainte Catherine: Situated where a priory took place, this place is a parenthesis of charm and quietness. It is located in the heart of the Marais, the arrondissement for many Paris apartment rentals.

3 - Cour du Commerce Saint-André: In the sixth district, from ages where the intellectual society gathers, discover a cobbled alleyway with gates which houses were built around the 1770s.

4 - Parc Monceau: With its neo-Antique follies and large lily pond, it is a favourite for well-dressed children with nannies. Feel the old Paris atmosphere, still alive…

5 - Café Marly : This halfmodern half-Napoleon III era “brasserie” enjoys an exceptional view of the Louvre Pyramid Cour Napoléon. A delight after a visit to the Louvre.

6 - The market « Marché des Enfants Rouges » is the oldest of Paris (1615. It has been recently reopened and you can even have lunch there. Incredible atmosphere on week-ends.

7 - Don’t forget to try the delicious ice-creams of Berthillon, on the Isle Saint Louis. Three generations of this family have been imagniating the most incredible ice-creams…Get ready to stand on line in front of their shops!

8- The garden of the Musée Rodin in the hôtel particulier the sculptor lived in at the end of his life. Very relaxing place in the 7th district.

9 - Le Bistrot du Sommelier: a harmony between wines and courses established by the world’s best “sommelier”, Philippe Faure-Brac.

10 - Place Saint Georges, developed around 1820 and its interesting trompe-l’oeil at the corner with Rue Saint-Georges. If you need a rest, the half-hidden square recently created in the gardens of the Hotel Thiers is very agreeable.

11 - The Coupole of the Printemps, at the 6th floor of the famous department store, is a beautiful monument, a chef d’oeuvre of art nouveau. During WWII, it was dismantled and the pieces of “vitrail” were hidden.

12 - Chartier: this celebrated belle époque restaurant serves hundreds of meals a day to the budget-minded in a top-notch décor and ambiance. Surprising.

13 - Canal Saint Martin, one of Napoleon’s better ideas, now a favourite spot with local families on sundays…Amelie spirit is still there!

14 - Hôtel du Nord: the inspiration for the 1938 Marcel Carmé film of the same name is now a restaurant and comedy venue.

15 - Cirque d’Hiver: a beautiful circus built which still in use. Take your kids there, they will love it!

16 -Bercy Village: For over a century, this was the home of the largest wine market in the world. Now a peaceful pedestrian walkway with shops and restaurants, open on sundays.

17 - La Coulée Verte: A former railway track atop the Viaduc des Arts, replaced by a planted promenade. Beneath the Promenade, the arches of the Viaduc are home to craftspeople and restaurants.

18 - La Butte aux Cailles: this worker’s neighbourhood of old houses, funky bars and restaurants, was one of the first to fight during the 1848 Revolution and the Paris Commune.

19 - Cité des Fleurs: when this little cité was built, each owner had to plant 3 flower trees in his garden. It is now bordered with champetres and flowered houses. Charming.

20 - Parc des Buttes-Chaumont: it is hard to believe that this lovely park was created on a former gypsum quarry.
