“The apartment was nice. We felt like local Parisians. It was clean. The location was very central to all other districts which we walked to. The metro was only a block away. It was very convenient. We enjoyed our morning coffee and bread across the street at the small café towards Rue de Rivoli. We had drinks and dinner at the restaurant on the corner of Rue Roule and Rue Berger. It was very good. We watched Rugby champions tournament.”

“The Louvre Authentic apartment has a fantastic location! We are art lovers and were able to walk to all the museums and most historic sites we wanted to visit. There are charming cafes and markets close by the apartment so we had no difficulty shopping for meals or dining out. The apartment was mostly quiet. There was an occasional reveler at night but our sleep was not disturbed. A tip for future guests - be sure to close the external shutters on the windows to block out the very bright street lamp on the building and early evening street noise. We did not see the sign about the shutters the first night we were there and that made sleeping difficult. With the shutters closed it was perfect.

The apartment was comfortable, clean, and quaint. We struggled a bit with the very small bed because we are accustomed to a larger one at home. Everything else was good for us and we were very pleased to be immersed in a neighborhood versus staying in a tourist hotel.

We used the car service for airport pick up and delivery as arranged for us by A La Carte Paris and we highly recommend this. We were exhausted when we arrived and it was so convenient to have our driver waiting for us as soon as we exited customs. Both drivers coming and going were very friendly and courteous.

Our entire experience working with A La Carte Paris was extremely positive. We highly recommend them. We thank the staff for providing the perfect foundation for our wonderful visit to Paris!!”

“I had an extremely pleasant stay at Louvre Authentic. The apartment was very clean, very nicely decorated, very Parisian. The location was excellent, with a grocery store just around the corner. In addition, I had no problem getting hold of someone to say that I had to change my flight and arrive 3 hours earlier. Everything was well organized and excellent and fast communication. The rates were very reasonable as well! I look forward to booking again with "Paris a la Carte"!”

“Idyllic little apartment in the middle of Paris. Easy walk to the Louvre, Notre-Dame and even Musée d'Orsay. The Eiffel Tower is further away, but still walkable - we walked from the Eiffel Tower back to the apartment on a very warm day and it was fine. The apartment is as per pictures and looks down onto a lively laneway/street with a bar and some cafes/shops. We were there during the summer, so people are out in the street until late, which we really enjoyed as part of the atmosphere. If the street noise is a bother, the bedroom shutters and windows when closed block out any noise. Kitchen is well equipped with stove, dishwasher, good sized fridge, drip coffee machine, toaster and microwave. Plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses. The washer/dryer is also in here. There are a number of small supermarkets around if you want to cook in some nights. Bathroom is small, but very clean. This was not an issue for us, but some may find it too tight. Great hairdryer and clothes iron. Yes there is no lift so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs, but it really is not far up (nothing as bad as hauling bags on buses and trains, so if you can do that, then you won't even notice this as an issue). Very kind to leave a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. We loved our stay.”

“The location of the Louvre authentic apartment is terrific. It is in a safe neighborhood within walking distance to the Louvre and the Pompidou Center. It is also within walking distance to two subway stations. The apartment is very clean, has plenty of light and is well equipped. The decor is simple but with attention to details. Loved the bottle of wine and the box of chocolates left on the table for us. Smooth checking and departure. We plan to return to the Louvre authentic apartment.”

“We found the apartment very homey and enjoyed having the freedom to cook in the apartment and live like a local, very clean warm and charming!”

“An amazing apartment in a great location in the heart of Paris. We spent four days in Paris and were thrilled to be able to step out the door and have so much nearby - the Louvre, Pompidou, Marais, St Germain, and much, much more. The apartment was easy to reach from CDG via the RER B train (stop at Les Halles). Great information was provided at the apartment on nearby restaurants and shops, as well as how to operate the appliances, wifi, etc. We loved our time in Paris and this apartment was the perfect place to stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Louvre Authentic apartment. While small, the apartment was perfect for two people and was sufficient room that we were able to visit with two friends over wine and cheese much more comfortably than if we visited them in their hotel room. We have rented in other areas of Paris and this time we were able to enjoy exploring and getting to know the Louvre area. The rental process and access to the apartment has been well thought out to make everything very easy. We hope it won't be too long before we get to stay at another A La Carte Paris apartment in another neighbourhood.”

“Excellent location, 5 min walk to Les Halles, Louvre Rivoli and Chatelet train stations, lots of shops and restaurants.
The rooms were all a good size and bigger than what i was expecting. Having the kitchen mean't we were able to prepare our own meals and not have to eat out all the time. There is a nightclub directly across the road which is open until 5am, but we never heard any noise from it, so no issues there. I can definitely recommend it. ”

“We enjoyed our stay so much! The location was wonderful, so near the Louvre, and we walked everywhere. There are many metro stops nearby, many brasseries. The apartment was very comfortable, even has a dishwasher. And machine that both washes and dries laundry. The notebook had many useful tips. The book collection is extensive and varied, both in French and English. Katy arranged for pick- ups at both the beginning and end of our stay, so convenient, and even helped us to find a particular book bag we wanted to buy.
So glad my cousin recommended you!”

“Our stay in the Louvre Authentic apartment was practically perfect! We selected the apartment primarily based on location and budget; my husband was working in Paris and needed to be centrally located to multiple offices and stay within comparable and moderate hotel costs for the length of our stay. We were thrilled with our choice; (staying in an apartment is always superior to a hotel). My husband was able to easily get to work in other arrondissements and I was perfectly located to participate in my favorite thing to do in Paris, which is to happily wander the streets.
The apartment location is fabulous, close to Metro lines 1 and 7, lovely shops, delicious restaurants, markets and even a bio grocery. The apartment is simple but elegant with lovely pieces and art work and wonderful books that lend the feel of "home". It has wonderful old Paris details (gorgeous bedroom door) with modern amenities (fabulous rain shower head); though the bathroom is small it is more than adequate with good storage.
Louvre Authentic is light filled and well appointed! We were in the apartment in winter but I imagine that it is quite comfortable in summer as there is the opportunity for cross breeze with lovely windows in the kitchen, living room, bedroom and a small one in the bathroom.
The folks at Ala Carte Paris were responsive when we had questions, We would certainly stay there again.”
Dean & Catherine from United States stayed in February 2013
“Catherine and I stayed in the Louvre Authentic apartment and found it to be all that we needed. We enjoyed the chance to live among the people of Paris and to experience Paris life for a week and a half. We choose an apartment over a hotel room so that we would meet and mix with the local people and we greatly appreciated everything about the apartment where we stayed. It had all that we needed and not only provided us with a base to visit Paris but also gave us a comfortable home for us to relax, unwind and renew our energy.”
Gerard Boulay & Sainte Adele from Canada stayed in January 2013
Paul de Mielche from United States stayed in October 2011
“Everything was as promised, though the apartment was small it seemed to grow larger with each day, as all our needs were covered. We felt at home and a part of the neighborhood.”
