“Thank you for all your help in making my dream of living like a Parisian come true. From the start, the paperwork was simple and the contracts were easy to understand. We reserved 9 months ahead as we wanted to come for the month of August. We had been to Paris two other times. Once for three days and last year for a week. I fell in love with the city and knew I wanted to spend more time there. What could be better than a month in my favorite place?
Your instructions were easy and once we located the street we were in our apartment within minutes. First off I want to assure everyone that we never felt nervous about safety and the building has three layers of security. There is an elevator. Although it did not look out on the Eiffel Tower, we were almost close enough to touch it. Literally a 2 minute walk.
We loved the neighborhood. Previously we had stayed in the Vendome area so this was our first time staying on the Left Bank. There were lots of cafes and shops and after a while the locals recognized us and we were exchanging Bonjours with them, priceless! We loved the location and being close to so many places. We were able to walk everywhere. We rode Velibs on numerous occasions thanks to Alex's article on how to go about renting them.
The kitchen although small had just about everything we needed and we did have many meals in. The washer and dryer was a great amenity as we didn't have to pack as heavily. I also appreciated that drying rack as the European dryers run rather long and hot! There is a small dishwasher which is a welcomed feature. There was an instruction booklet in the unit that gives precise instructions on how to run the appliances, directions to stores, and any other information you could possibly want. We referred to it often and found it invaluable.
The two living rooms were separate from the bedroom so if one of us were having a sleepless night we didn't have to disturb the other. The bedroom was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. Also the wardrobe was spacious with plenty of room for our clothes. I loved having the clothes hamper, nice touch.
The bathroom was updated and stocked with loads of towels. The shower worked well.
The apartment had a generous amount of lighting. I had many places where I could see to read. The bookcases were filled with all kinds of Paris guide books which was very helpful. There was a unit air conditioner which we never needed to use. The wifi worked very well and there was a telephone that you could call back to landlines in the United States for free.
We also appreciated having someone come in to change sheets, and clean the apartment once a week.
Everyday we would walk out and say which way, right or left, and off we would go for our adventures. I studied the language with a Rosetta Stone course that came in very handy, and the locals forgave my bad French and spoke English when needed with a smile. We found the people very friendly and helpful.
It was a cozy place to come back to every evening, and we only missed one evening of watching the Eiffel Tower twinkle on the hour. Such a fabulous trip, I can not express how special the memories are that we created. Thank you a la Carte, we will be back!”
“Great communication and timely responses. Very attentive, we were extremely happy and surprised with personal touches. Although we didn't use any of the appliances, the apartment has everything you would normally need at home. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and we would use again.”
“A week ago I was looking out the French windows of our very French apartment at snow falling on the street - so beautiful. Very different to the summer weather here in Melbourne! This is our second time to Paris but the first time we have rented an A La Carte apartment. We had booked a hotel room at a greater cost, then cancelled it at the last minute and we were so pleased we did. We had a completely different experience than our first trip to Paris when we stayed in a tourist area - this time we felt we were right in the "real Paris". The location of Left Bank Eiffel saw us so close to The Tower, but also in a neighbourhood street with cafes and other shops. Enjoyed a beautiful meal at one of the restaurants and because it was away from the tourist strip, the quality and cost was terrific. Your apartments were recommended to us by friends and we won't hesitate to pass the recommendation onto others as well. We also enjoyed the extra space we had compared to a hotel room.
Many thanks - we'll be return customers!

“Booking accommodation online has previously filled me with trepidation, unsure that the often pristine images I've seen will be replaced with below-par accommodation and an inconvenienced start to a holiday. Not so with A La Carte apartments. Even before my friend and I arrived into Paris our arrival details changed. Updating Katy and the team at A La Carte was easy, efficient and they were very prompt in reply assuring us that all was OK. On arrival the explanation that we received via email about entering the apartment was detailed, methodical but easy to understand. The apartment was exactly like the images and video online (and importantly was well ventilated with no musty smell/odours.) The location quite literally around the corner from the Eiffel Tower was magical. Staying in the 7th felt like you were transported to the best of upmarket Paris like the locals live. Amazing brasseries, coffee shops, parks, beautiful boulevards and streets and to get to any of the main sights was between a 15-30 minute walk depending on pace. Overall I felt relieved and happy that finally a company represented apartments accurately and it truly made my stay in Paris the best yet. I wouldn't hesitate in dealing with A La Carte again for a Parisian vacation. I've already told my friends and family to use them as the go-to for any apartment stay in Paris. Faultless!!!”
“We very much enjoyed our stay at Left Bank Eiffel apartment. We found everything as described and more. Proximity to the tower made it convenient for connections to all the highlights of Paris. The apartment was a great place to relax.Everything we need was on the street within 1/2 block. Great nearby restaurants. We look forward to our next trip. Thanks for a great experience. “We stayed in Left Bank Eiffel for two months, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The apartment is much more comfortable than your typical Paris rental, with a pretty good mattress on the bed and two sofas that expand into sleepers. The kitchen is small, but generally well equipped. A very helpful instruction book is included, which helps you figure out how to use the appliances and also gives suggestions for restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. The shower is nice and big, and there's plenty of hot water. All the bathroom fixtures are modern. The washer/dryer, dishwasher, and microwave work great.
The neighborhood is lively, but generally quiets down by 11:00pm. There are at least 10 high-quality restaurants within a four-block radius of this place, and the Café Gustave on the corner is friendly and has reasonable café food. Staying near the Tour Eiffel has its issues--lots of tourist buses everywhere, and noisy student groups--but the marvelous Branly Museum is also nearby. The neighborhood contains many beautiful examples of Art Deco architecture. We felt comfortable and safe in the area, and it was easy to find a taxi most of the time.
Ala Carte is probably the best Paris rental agency I have ever dealt with. They were always responsive when we had a minor problem (we never had a major one). They also provided a good amount of t.p., laundry detergent, and dishwasher soap, as well as garbage bags. The weekly cleaning staff did a great job. Minor problems: The intercom from the downstairs lobby was broken during our stay. Ala Carte offered to fix it, but since this involved breaking the wall, we declined. I expect it will be fixed soon. Also, as a disabled person, I had trouble with the large step to get into the building, and the bed and the sofas were a bit too low to the ground for me. But the shower was perfect for me, and the elevator functioned the whole time we were staying there. I would stay in this apartment again.”
“I was most impressed with the professional and timely response during the booking and reservation procedure and all responses to inquiries, were complete and punctual.
The apartment was absolutely charming and lovely, and was very well-appointed, warm and cozy. The location is ideal, and indeed, a rare find, to be so close to the Eiffel Tower!
“We had a wonderful experience staying at the Left Bank Eiffel apartment; the decor was so chic and everything was very comfortable so we felt very much at home. The location of the apartment was convenient for food shopping, with amazing choices within 5-10 minutes walk so we embraced the practise of buying fresh croissants and baguettes for breakfast every morning. The rue Cler was great for interesting food varieties,as were most of the surrounding streets.
The prevalence of local brasseries and finer restaurants meant we were spoilt for choice when we decided to eat out; Firmin Bistro, nearby, was a favourite with us.
Unfortunately we only had a short stay in the apartment and would happily have stayed much longer. However, the cultural experience of living like a local, instead of staying in a hotel, is something we would highly recommend.”
“Recently, I was a guest at your Left Bank Eiffel apartment, a block away from the legendary Eiffel Tower. I want to thank you for all your kind and efficient service. When we arrived, one of your staff was lready waiting for us at the apartment....with keys, champagne and a fruit basket. What a very nice touch. The apartment was as promised, nicely furnished with all the little amenities such as toaster, microwave, hairdryer, coffeemaker, and iron. There is a great deli right downstairs with a special prepared food every day. We sampled all the restaurants on the street and they were all great. Parking was available on the street every night when I got back to my "French pied a terre". The day I checked out, I had an early flight. Your rep was there at 7 a.m. and gave us great directions to the airport. Checkout was smooth and quick. What else could I ask for? I will be coming back to Paris in a couple of months and I hope to see you again. Thanks again for the great service.”
“We had a wonderful time staying at the Eiffel Left Bank. The apartment is small and cosy and perfect for two people. It is in a great position and close to restaurants and cafes and just a short walk to Rue Cler. Being able to look at the La Tour Eiffel at any given time was the icing on the cake. Thank you again for your offfer of assistance and we can't wait to come back again.”
“I would recommend A La Carte. We stayed at the Left Bank Eiffel apartment and were very impressed. All pictures accurately displayed the apt and description of area was perfectly accurate. The staff does everything that they say they will do. Go to Paris and truly enjoy the experience. We did and will be back. Thank you.”
“Our stay at Left Bank Eiffel was perfect. The team at A La Carte were amazing. Every question answered, every detail covered, transportation you scheduled were on time and the drivers so helpful. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and wanted everything to go perfect and it did, the wine and chocolates a great beginning, thank you. We will definitely use A La Carte again in the future and will recommend you to others.”
“Working with you was wonderful. You were most professional and helpful throughout our initial inquiry, reservation process, and stay. We also felt confident in dealing with your support staff, plus the cab and the driver on check-out day was most helpful and courteous. We really appreciate the diagrams of each apartment that you have on the A la Carte website apartment descriptions - that was particularly important for us as we had a visitor for a few days and needed to select the proper apartment layout.
The Left Bank Eiffel apartment is ideally located to major attractions, good restaurants, and markets. It is a very typical Paris apartment. We had our usual wonderful time in Paris, especially enjoying the proximity of "la Tour Eiffel," and lots of restaurants in the arrondissement. This apartment is most convenient to the RER train, but somewhat less so for the metro, but I would doubt anyone would complain about having to walk a few extra blocks. The bathroom is nicely done, and curtains in the living room seem quite new. From a woman's perspective, the fact that there were well-functioning appliances, a great shower, very good mattress and pillows, plenty of plugs (even one by the bathroom mirror for curling iron!), and plenty of towels was a real positive. The low levels of light in the living room made reading at night difficult, but the bedside reading lamps were great.
In summary, we would certainly do business with you and A La Carte in the future, and we would recommend you to others.”
“Wonderful greeting on arrival with fresh flowers, fruit and a bottle of wine. Bath robes are a great idea. Apartment very pleasing and nicely decorated. Very quiet bedroom! Wonderful street with great restaurants and a bakery just across the street with warm fresh bread each morning. Small store around the corner for general needs and market street 5 mins away.”
“My husband and I wanted to stay somewhere special for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in early September and we selected the Left Bank Eiffel apartment. We could not have been happier with the service provided by the A La Carte team or by the apartment and its location – better even than expected. Our week in Paris was the highlight of our 6-week trip. As my husband said, “It was magical.” When next we come to Paris we will certainly be in touch.”
“My wife and I enjoyed our recent stay in Paris very much, due, in no small part, to the very nice A la Carte Left Bank Eiffel apartment in the 7th arrondissement. The apartment was wonderful, the location was excellent, and every part of our experience, from our arrival to our departure, was easy. The staff of A la Carte Paris Apartments was warm, friendly, helpful, and available throughout our stay. We are planning a longer, return trip to Paris next year, and we will definitely use A la Carte again.”
“I spent 3 weeks in the apartment strategically located under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. It was such a fantastic location. The apartment has everything one could possibly want for a stay of any duration. The bedroom has a very comfy bed, and the pull-out in the living room would be suitable for a small person. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything worked, I especially appreciated the instruction manual which gave "how to" info on all the technical things in the apartment and following these instructions was really helpful. The bus connections right from Gare du Nord to just one block away, and many other connections as well, made it very convenient to get around in the winter weather. I loved shopping on Rue Cler and all the little shops around the area. It was a good stay.”
“We truly enjoyed the Left Bank Eiffel apartment, which was beautifully furnished and equipped with appliances which were modern and easy to use as well as an excellent sound system. The location is hard to beat, being only blocks from the Seine and the Eiffel Tower which we visited nightly to watch the phenomenal light show each evening. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, some on the same street as the apartment and the Rue Cler market was a wonderful resource for produce, artisan cheeses and of course, fresh crepes.Tucked away on a side street, we discovered Chez Lucie, a Creole restaurant with great food and an extremely entertaining proprietor. Having rented apartments in Paris before, I was especially impressed with how well organized your company was and we appreciated the assistance which Bruno provided, by giving us an orientation as to working the appliances, recommending good restaurants, ongoing events and points of interest, as well as calling a taxi for our departure. Having access to a local telephone in the apartment is invaluable as my cell phone was not always reliable in Europe. Given the location and amenities, this apartment is an excellent choice for American travelers and we look forward to visiting again.”
“Our experience staying in A La Carte’s Left Bank Eiffel was truly magical and forever memorable!! My husband and I enjoyed our tenth wedding anniversary in this gorgeous apartment, which has been decorated with style and finesse. We were welcomed with flowers, chocolates and champagne; what an amazing start to our holiday! The apartment contained every amenity I could ever need (and more!) and our only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer to fully enjoy the what the apartment had to offer. Spacious, light and bright, warm and welcoming, this apartment had a very comfortable bed, two living areas and a gorgeous bathroom. We both slept soundly, as while the apartment was in a beautiful and practical location, there was no traffic or other noise our whole stay.
In addition to an amazing interior, the location of Left Bank Eiffel was amazing; one story down (at the apartment’s ground level) just a quick look to the left and see the Eiffel Tower, just a street away! This site was even more stunning, of course, at night! With so much information available within the A La Carte information brochure we found local restaurants and sites with ease. A metro was a short walk away and the river just a five minute stroll. Perfect location.
In addition to the wonderful apartment, we also experienced unrivalled service from A La Carte Paris, who I now recommend as often as possible to anybody travelling to Paris. Alex, Katy, Richard and the rest of the team helped me in any way they possibly could, from the moment I contacted them about their apartments to following up to ensure I had a good stay. We have never felt so welcomed in another city, and that should any problem arise (no matter what it was!), knew there would be someone to rescue us! The A La Carte team treated us with such warmth and kindness that I could not imagine staying in Paris other than in one of their gorgeous, truly Parisian and yet inexpensive apartments!
I cannot wait til my next trip to Paris, buoyed by the knowledge that any accommodation I book with A La Carte will exceed expectations!! Thank you again so very much Alex, Katy, Richard and team! ”
“Every evening before going to bed stroll down to the Eiffel Tower (it can’t be two minutes), under its arched legs and over to the Seine. Walk along the river and back to your apartment. If you should tire of this view (and I can’t imagine how you could) you can head in the opposite direction and walk to Les Invallides. At night the lighting is magical. We chose to travel by the “Batobus” – minutes from the apartment. Using the Seine to get to many of the major sights – Louvre, Notre Dame, Musée d’Orsay, Arc de Triomphe – is a lovely way to travel (particularly at night). It’s hard to choose which boulangerie for breakfast—there are at least 6 within a moments walk. But be careful, you become one of the family quickly — the shopkeepers greet you warmly--and if you are like I am and have your rituals they have your coffee and pastry ready for you when you walk in the door — it’s wonderful. If you want to feel part of the city, instead of a tourist, it’s the only way to go. The apartment itself is charming. My daughter who is a design student loved it! And Bruno has thought of everything. No matter what time you arrive he’s there to meet you. And when it’s time to leave there is a luxurious ride at your door for the airport. For those evenings where you have walked until you are ready to drop, just downstairs there is a wonderful take-out gourmet place where you can pick up dinner and a bottle of wine, head upstairs, put your feet up and relax in your very own place in Paris. We felt very much at home in this neighbourhood. Does it get any better than that?”
