“My best friend and I chose this flat for our "Girl's Holiday Week in Paris," and we were glad we chose this over the Ile Saint Louis location. The Marais location was convenient ... 5-10 minutes walk to the St Paul Metro, Taxi stand, Velib bicycle hires, Autolib car hires and grocery stores. We walked home every night around midnight and felt very safe. The flat was very clean. Note that there are 3 flights of stairs to climb (no lift) if you have heavy or lots of luggage. It was chilly and raining the week we were there, but the heaters in both rooms warmed us well. The bedroom is an adequate size with a mirror, and there is plenty of space in the living area to lay out your luggage! The bed was comfortable, and at night, it was peacefully quiet if the windows are closed. The shower stall is clean and has an adjustable shower handle for shorter people. It was nice to have a hair dryer, but you do need to bring toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion). The free wi-fi and calls to UK, Australia and USA were great conveniences. For those coffee lovers, there is a great italian gelato 2 blocks west (Pozzetto) that makes a true flat white and has the best gelato in Paris. Next door to them is Comme Lisbon, a Portuguese bakery that has warm custard tarts to-die-for! If you are foodies, we highly recommend two eateries that were amazingly decently priced: (1) Le Comptoir du Relais (6 Carrefour de l'Odeon) is a french bistro that is open every day, no bookings; (2) Frenchie's tapas bar (across from Frenchie's; 6 Rue du Nil), no bookings, closed Sat-Sun.”

“Our stay at the Marais Collection was excellent. The apartment was charming and exactly how it was described on the website. The location was perfect; had wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from. The close proximity to the metro was great and made getting around Paris very easy.

We look forward to using A la carte for our future travels to Paris and look forward to staying in the Marais Collection again. ”

“Thank you for the delightful stay at Elegant Hotel de Ville. We had a wonderful time living in Le Marais and certainly did feel part of the neighborhood, we especially loved getting fresh baguettes from the boulangerie two blocks away each day.The apartment was convenient to everything and was furnished comfortably, the instruction book was extremely helpful and thorough. It was very pleasant to open the street door to the cool and lovely courtyard after a long day of walking. It was a very warm week in Paris and we were grateful for the air conditioner and fan. We shall certainly recommend A La Carte Paris to others traveling to Paris.

“Our stay in Paris at the apartment on Rue du Roi de Sicile was wonderful. The building had an old world charm and was nestled within a perfect part of the city which allows walking to many destinations. The apartment had everything we needed and fit our family very well. The building was quiet, the apartment was very clean and we were greeted upon arrival with a bottle of wine and some nice chocolates. The entire experience, from booking to departure, was great. We would most definitely recommend this space, as well as A La Carte Paris.”

“The location of this apartment is unbeatable. The only thing to keep in mind is if you are a light sleeper- you may need earplugs: although the apartment faces the courtyard, you do get quite a bit of noise from the streets echoing in, however, for the location, this was very typical. Gemma was a very responsive and accommodating host. The neighbourhood is lively and is lined with bars, bakeries and shops. It is within walking distance to many major monuments and attractions. The metro is also only a short stroll away. We miss Paris already!”

“Lovely authentic Parisian experience. Clean, safe apartment in the heart of the Marais. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Very comfortable accommodations in a quiet building free from road noise. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in the heart of Paris for solid value.”

“Had a wonderful trip - really enjoyed the apartment it had everything we needed for a short stay in Paris (5 days) the apartment was very close to Metro (2 min walk) restaurants, bars, and shopping. It's on the second level, steps are wide but pack light so you don't have to drag a heavy suit case up the beautiful wood on the staircase. The apartment was very secure and quiet we liked the gated courtyard. We kept our noise level down per the instructions and noticed that all of the neighbors were just as conscientious. We did not get to meet the owners or staffers but we did get to speak to them upon arrival and they were easily accessible. The shower was nice and hot and the water pressure was perfect. We loved the thought put into the decor, it was well staged. Stay was truly perfect, I have stayed at other rentals in Paris and would definitely stay at this one again.”

“We had an excellent experience with A La Cartes service. Everything was simple and convenience. There are a lot of cafes and retaurants all around. Not to mention a good place to walk around with so many boutiques. It is close to the metro as well. Cosy and nice place. Thanks so much!”

“Lovely authentic Paris apartment in perfect condition. Really a place to recommend. Location just around the corner of the charming Rue des Rosiers, the very heart of the Marais, with all the nice smaller shops. Almost the only authentic part of Paris because it hasn’t been changed by Haussman. View on the cour, so very quiet. This apartment is very clean. Everything is there: TV, DVD, telephone for use, bedlinen, towels, tea, coffee, reservebulbs, kitchenpaper, toiletpaper and detergent for washing. Interior as on the pics. Classic french style furniture in comtemporary greige and distressed oak. Bathroom is not very big; but this is typical for all the apartments in the Marais. Wine and chocolates for welcome. Easy contact with the company for in- and outcheck. We had a perfect stay. Thanks A La Carte!

“My daughter and I had a great time staying in Paris and the 1 bedroom Apartment was the way to go. The area we chose to stay in was fantastic, safe and "happening" and we would definitely choose to stay in this apartment again.
The plethora of really good and helpful information made available by A La Carte Paris on arriving was certainly looked at and used. The chocolates and wine provided on arrival were also a really nice touch and appreciated. Whilst we rarely ate in, it was nice to have the option with the kitchen and we made use of the local supermarkets - all within easy walking distance. We had been travelling in the South of France and in Barcelona for two weeks prior to Paris and having the apartment, providing that much more space was terrific. Whilst I sound like an "old lady" the benefits of having at your disposal a "washing/machine dryer, iron & ironing board and a good quality hair dryer were priceless - so much better than a hotel.
There were plentiful towels and more than enough coat hangers - and I love to hang everything. Whilst we purchased tissues for the bathroom everything else was covered.
The apartment was smack in the middle of two main metro stops and we managed with out suitcases to arrive direct from Gare de Lyon. Extremely convenient location and I would highly recommmend.”

“It was a beautiful apartment in the Marais area with easy walking distance to the Notre Dame, the Left Bank and Hotel de Ville. Easy access to a great grocery store, morning walk to the bakery for fresh pastries, all in all just a dream come true. The apartment itself is so well equipped, modern, clean lacking absolutely nothing!!! I cannot wait to come back!!”

“My husband and I found our stay at the Marais Collection, in its fabulous location, just magic. Anything we could have needed or wanted was there for us, and the notes left with recommendations, directions and suggestions was absolutely complete. The apartment was comfortable and cozy. Making these arrangements through A La Carte was so easy and such a pleasure that we will be back, for sure!”

“We love the Marais and totally enjoyed our stay. We commend your accuracy; everything was as you described - clean and very comfortable. That level of reliability was special so thank you A La Carte. We were very happy and would book again. ”

“My husband and I were able to stay at a one-bedroom apartment with A La Carte Paris called the Marais Collection. It was absolutely perfect for our stay in Paris during March 2015. Our apartment was close to the main street rue Rivoli and in close walking distance to the Metro which is always nice and easy once you get in from the airport.
What I loved about this apartment was how quiet it was as well as the cleanliness, beautiful fixtures and furniture and a very comfortable bed. It was the perfect size and location for my husband and I. So much so that next year when we come to Paris again I'm sure we will most likely try to book this apartment again.

What I love about booking with A la carte Paris in general is the fact that every description, photo and video on their website is exactly what you get when you set foot into their properties. There is no "sugar-coating", just very concise and easy-to-understand descriptions of what you are going to experience and receive during your stay.

Another exceptional thing about A la carte Paris is their professionalism, customer service and the overall quality and consistency of the people that work for them. We've been using A la carte Paris for a few years now and have never been disappointed; only delighted at each of the apartments we leased with them.

I recommend this service to all of my friends and family as they are truly the best in Paris!”

“I have just returned home after a fabulous month in Paris. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip so I searched for the most beautiful apartment that I could afford. My search led me to A La Carte Paris. I chose the Marais Collection apartment and it was perfect. It was beautifully decorated and had the tall windows, fireplace and chandelier that spelled 'Paris' to me. The furnishings were lovely but still homey and comfortable. Even the sofa bed got top reviews from my visitors!
Best of all, it was in a superior location. The apartment overlooked a beautiful courtyard filled with plants so it was both private and quiet. It was only two blocks from the St. Paul and Hotel de Ville Metro stations and two blocks from the famous Bus 69 which takes you across the city. I was able to walk to the Louvre, the Opera, Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and numerous other must-see sights. The streets around the apartment were ancient, meandering and spilling over with cafes, shops, patisseries, food stores and people. As a single woman, I felt safe at all times.
Finally, I was extremely impressed with the A La Carte company. They were unknown to me before my net search. Whenever I emailed to my visit, they answered within hours and their responses were friendly and accommodating. When I arrived, everything was spotless and exactly as pictured. There was even a bottle of wine and some French chocolates waiting on the table. I phoned to say that the hairdryer was not working well, and Katy had a new one delivered within hours. I also requested more drinking glasses and they, too, were sent over immediately. Katy and her colleagues were happy to share recommendations for local services etc. The apartment was cleaned each Monday and the sheets and towels were changed. Little things, but they enabled me to concentrate on enjoying Paris.
My holiday was a 10/10 and I will certainly use A La Carte again. I am hoping they will expand their services to other cities!”

“This is our third visit to Paris, and the third time we are staying at one of your apartments. We rented the Marais Collection apartment and were very happy with our choice. The location of the apartment is excellent – very close to Rivoli street, but still quiet. It starts from entering the beautiful inner courtyard and its footway stones and wild plants covering the walls, continuing with the old wooden stairs until the apartment door. The apartment is exactly as appears in the pictures on your website, "what you see is what you get". The design is beautiful, give a lot of credit to your decorator! It seems like someone took the time to think of every small detail and anything we might need – bath towels, soaps, trash bags, kitchen equipment, hair dryer etc. Although the apartment is located in a central place (very close to cafes and restaurants) it is quiet and calm. We had a very homey feeling, each time coming back to "our home" after exploring beautiful Paris.”

“This is our 3rd rental through A La Carte Paris and as the other two, the only surprises were good ones. Always exactly as described - great location, quiet, comfortably outfitted. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit.”
