Frequently Asked Questions about short-term high-end Paris apartment rentals

Q: Hotel or Paris vacation rental apartment?

A: Although the new savvy travel option is staying in Paris luxury apartment rentals, it is not for everyone. For those that require daily service, with breakfast served and beds made each day, 24/7 room service on hand, a hotel is the only option. For those willing to swap some daily services for the convenience of having your own home away from home, Paris apartment rentals offer many advantages. With much more space to spread out and a proper living room, you will not feel the need to spend every waking minute outside. You’ll experience a delightful slice of authentic Paris life, ensuring your stay is special and memorable. Enjoy a cultural experience that you would never get from an impersonal hotel room that could be anywhere in the world.

Q: How do you select your Paris apartments for rent?

A: Apart from being in the best central Paris locations, our Paris luxury apartment rentals are selected to offer high-impact visuals and style. The rentals we offer always have strong character, charm and charisma. The idea is to avoid the great many average offerings on this crowded market, and ensure that you have a special and memorable experience.

Q: Are the apartments as good as they look in the photos?

A: We try and represent our Paris apartments for rent as accurately as possible, as it is important that our guests feel confident and know exactly what they are booking. But don’t take our word for it, check the guest testimonials for each apartment to help you make up your mind.

Q: Are your rentals centrally located and near public transport?

A: All our apartments are in the most central Paris neighborhoods. They are in or on the borders of the first 8 arrondissements i.e. the most central ones. Whatever rental you choose, you will be within immediate walking distance of major sights, shops, restaurants, cafés, and archetypal Paris street life. Most often, locations will be so central that you will be able to visit everything on foot. Metro stations, should you need them, will never be more than a quick 5-minute walk away.

Q: So many apartments appeal to me, how do I choose?

A: All our luxury Paris apartments are rigorously selected to be in the best central locations, offering safety, sights, shopping, and "that" Paris local street-life ambiance. So, unless you have a particular neighborhood in mind, you really can’t go wrong. First decide how many bedrooms you need then simply choose your favorite apartment based on interior design and style. If you have trouble with stairs, make sure there is an elevator, as this is most often not the case in the older historic parts of central Paris such as the Marais and Ile Saint Louis. For those who are in Paris on business, all our apartments have high-speed internet.

Q: What does the apartment rental price include?

A: Weekly rental rates include taxes, utilities, local telephone, linens, towels, weekly cleaning and linen changes. There is no charge for cable and internet. For reduced monthly rental rates, telephone and electricity is charged according to consumption allow 50€ to 100€ a month maximum, depending on how much you use electrical heating and hot water.

Q: Are Paris apartments for rent safe?

A: The locations we choose are safe to wander around in, at any time of the day or night. The neighborhoods are upscale, inhabited by well-bred individuals and families. Apartment buildings have a security-code entry, plus sometimes an interphone buzzer as well. Security should not be an issue during your stay. Just beware of pickpockets in the metro although this is not a big problem.

Q: What are the days and times of arrival and departure?

A: You are welcome to book any dates you choose, subject to availability. There are no imposed days of arrival and departure. Furthermore, we will usually be able to accommodate your arrival at any time of day during business hours. However, should there be guests leaving the day you arrive, then you may drop off your luggage from 10am and take possession of the apartment from 2pm. Likewise, should there be guests arriving the day you leave, then you would need to depart by 10am. Should you wish to guarantee an early arrival or a late departure, then you would need to book the extra night. There is a 45 euros surcharge for arrival after business hours, or on weekends and holidays.

Q: I am still not sure of my trip plan. What happens if I cancel?

A: We require a booking deposit of one week’s rent. The balance in the case of bookings over a week is due a month before arrival. Should you wish to shift your dates slightly after confirmation, or extend your stay, we would be glad to accommodate this subject to availability of the apartment. Outright cancellation entails the forfeiting of monies paid, but we do offer a cancellation insurance via ADAR insurers. Opt for this and you will be reimbursed in most serious cases (click on Practical Information/Cancellation Insurance for more details).

Q: How do I collect the apartment keys?

A: There is no collection or return of keys, you simply go directly to the apartment on your arrival. Easy. We will ask for full details of your arrival when you confirm your booking. Check in details and the full address of the apartment will be emailed to you on receipt of rental contract and payment.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: All our apartments are fully furnished and equipped with the amenities of modern living. All our Paris apartments for rent have fully equipped kitchens, hairdryers, cable TV, high-speed Internet and washing machines (most have dryers too). The idea is that you need only bring your personal belongings, the rest you will find in the apartment. However, you should bring an electrical socket converter if you are travelling with rechargeable electronic devices.
